FreeDial is an Asterisk-based auto dialer module that’s free to download, letting contact centers automate outbound calls. It supports campaign definitions (time windows, call attempts, agent ratio). Real-time agent dashboards show call states and connect times. The system can screen out answered machines or busy signals. A built-in web interface configures trunk lines, DNC lists, and script prompts. Though community-driven, it’s robust enough for small telemarketing teams. Setup requires some Linux knowledge, but once configured, FreeDial effectively reduces agent idle time at zero software cost.
